Ambiance is decent but food was awesome.
Kesar badam lassi is good. Pav bhaji is different from usual with good taste. All the food was nicely cooked neither too much masala nor too much spicy.
Visited Oh Punjab with my Family for Dinner. I must say the food was amazing. Soups, starters, main course and deserts were all amazing. The rates are reasonable and the taste was great. Ambience was good when you don't let them turn on the white light on top of the table. The service was very good. Had an amazing exeperience overall. U can pay using Dineout if u want to save some bucks.
Would you like to spend an evening with your loved ones in a restaurant that not only serves some authentic dishes from punjab, baluchistan and the north west frontier, but also has a live ghazal orchestra that plays some timeless classics.
Well, 'Oh! Punjab' located at Banjara Hills is where you should be heading for your next gathering.A fine dining restaurant which launched few weeks back have created an identity for itself in the foodie landscape in hyderabad, thanks to their warm hospitality and delectable food.
Drinks:
The tall 'Lassi' glass filled with the goodness of kesar and almonds. The desi 'Jaljeeri' had a minty twist to it that was again a must try drink here.
Appetisers:
The 'Shanghai Rolls' was crunchy, filled with finely chopped vegetables tossed in an oriental sauce. The 'Chilly Soya Chaap' was flavourful but had a hard texture. The 'Chilly Paneer' had fresh paneer tossed in a spicy oriental sauce , but the Veg Manchurian could have been done better. The 'Chicken Drumsticks' were tender and juicy. The 'Chicken Manchurian' was equally well done. The 'Loose Prawns' is a must have here.
Main Course:
The 'Butter Chicken' had a smooth, buttery, mildly sweet makkhni gravy with chunks of smoky tandoori chicken. The 'Mutton Roganjosh' has tender pieces of lamb in a rich flavorful stew with rogan floating all over it. The 'Dal Makhni' was silky, buttery and bust of flavours and should not be misses here. The 'Veg Kofta' was hard and not upto my taste, however the 'Aloo Gobi' was a hearty dish, that reminded me of home. The dishes went with the freshy baked 'Garlic Naan', Butter Naan' and 'Laccha Paratha'. The 'Veg Pulao' and 'Chicken Dum Biryani' were equally delectable.
Desserts:
The steaming hot 'Gulab Jamun' were extremely soft and . The 'Rasmalai' was sinfully delicious to say the least and not to be missed. The ice-creams served were also creamy and delectable.
